David learned patternmaking the traditional way—through apprenticeship with his father, mastering the conventional techniques that still anchor the craft. As the industry modernized, he transitioned fluidly to CAD-based systems while never losing the foundational skills that distinguish a great pattern from a good one.

Over a 35-year career, David spent nearly a decade as a sourcing and production manager for major brands including GAP and Tommy Hilfiger. That retail background shapes how he works with every client today: he brings practical, production-minded thinking to every pattern, every grade, and every marker.
